University of Kent  Space Society

                       Rocketry

Rocketry has been part of Space Soc for about 2 years and there has been an explosion of interest. The Society started out owning only two small kit rockets, now they have over 20, with some of them over 1.5m tall! There are regular rocket days and trips, which are open to all members of the society.

Members have the chance to design (using SpaceCAD), build and launch their own rockets. So why not come along to one of our rocket days. Whether you want to build a rocket or just launch one, we will teach you how to do so safely and so that you can get your rocket back at the end of the day!

The rockets and events are maintained and run by the rocketry officers, they are James Williams and Helen Ellis (
jw66@kent.ac.uk and hje4@kent.ac.uk). If you have any questions feel free to give them an email! If you want to see some of the rockets owned and launched by the society click on the link below.
