Lego Astronaut BiBi kits up ready for launch.
BiBi inspects his rocket before launch.
The sure size of Harlequin dwarfs our small space soc legoman. Will he be able to
control the awesome power of a D12-5 motor?
BiBi says goodbye to his loved ones. He does not know when he will return or if he will survive. So many
legomen have gone before him, so many have failed to return, many were vapourised when they failed to eject
early enough.
BiBi gets some encouragement from his team mate Space Soc's Committee legoman 'Fred'.
Fred surveys the potential landing area.
Fred and BiBi survey the target area just minutes before they are due to travel to 1000ft, higher than any legoman alive.
Astronaut BiBi walks along the gangway to the entrance of his rocket "Harlequin".
BiBi has a change of heart, deciding he does not want to be the first legoman to 1000ft.
His ground control team encourage/force him back onto the rocket.
The final climbing of the rocket, just seconds now until he has to pilot the Harlequin, eject at 1000ft and
parachute safely to Earth.
The many ways BiBi tried to escape from the Launch.
Fred shows just how dangerous a astronaut legoman's life is.
BiBi boards Harlequin. Good luck BiBi!
5,4,3,2,1 Harlequin roars off the pad...but wait BiBi can't hold the trajectory...... he sways way off course and
descends rapidly into a nearby tree. After that his training takes over and he blows the second charge at the last
possible moment. He sails clear off the rocket and succesfully lands back on Earth. Sadly Harlequin was not so lucky
smashing straight into a tree. But for the first time ever a legoman had been successfully recovered from a launch.
President Reesy tries to recover Harlequin.
Harlequin, after BiBi's bad driving this rocket ended up in a tree.
